Car-metery

In the 70's there was a rich man who decided to collect cars. But one day he became crazy, leaving this car cemetery with rusting antique cars.

Holes in One

Somewhere in Auckland lies this abandoned driving range and golf course!

By the time i got to it, a bunch of kids had drawn dicpics and a mute hobo had resided in there

Ex cafeteria

Too bad there weren't any clubs left!

We were swinging out imaginery clubs when a hobo (more shocked than us) emerged

The grass is yellower on the other side.

Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

After a crazy 10 hour drive to Wellington :P we climbed into the old Tip Top bread factory

The iconic New Zealand bread factory shut down this plant about 2006 cuz this plant was too inefficient! Most of the equipment has been removed and walls are covered in colour.

Almost tempted to jump on floor of super soft bread packaging! But then there were dead pigeons inside, so probably not a great idea!

Whoops broke all the rules!

What's left of machinery

Otherwise it's just an empty warehouse filled with creepy laughing pigeons

Saint Stevie

Spontaneous afternoon drive South, found this old gem. Old Catholic Boys school closed last millennium, one of the most beautiful abandoned chapels in New Zealand!

Eerie ghostly beauty.

Standing derelict for more 15 years now!

Three storey old clock tower. I am covered with rat and pigeon shit cuts and bruises after that climb!

On a ledge, best place to have deep meaningful conversations!

On stage looking at the audience

Ghostly classroom

The ol kitchen block

The ol' laundry building

Very dried cat.

Ol dorms

Had to jump in thru bathroom windows onto the sink!

Only piece of furniture left

Bye bye world

It's not Detroit, It's Christchurch

If only I had all the time in the world to explore this Urbex Jungle. Too bad I only had one day and one night to traverse in Wonderland.

I ain't guna post up all those touristy street photos that normal passerbys snap up while walking past. This is the inside of the mess, where I break into condemned buildings and see how things have stayed in a time capsule of Feb 22 2011. This is a panorama of the chaos, where I climb scaffolds and ladders onto rooftops of buildings being demolished.

This is as busy as a city centre intersection gets on a Friday night in Ghost-town.

Rubble rubble everywhere, even from 3 stories up.

Christchurch City Skyline from 16 storey rooftop.

The Millenium Hotel looked right in place in a zombie apocalypse.

The famous Christ"Church" from 8 stories high rooftop. (normal people only get to see the white fence)

Second scariest spot!

A wedding photo left in a painting shop

Cafe! With unopened bottles of Phoenix Ginger Beer. Too bad they expired 3 years ago...

A condemned pub. Walked into a hole inside!

The emptied Centennial Pools.

The Oaks Residences mailboxes

"Soapy's Laundromat"

Seems like many artists have been here.

More of what it was like INSIDE the aftermath, check out separate posts
"Deloitte-Ful"
"Yrnst and Eoung"

Which were too big for this post!

Yrsnt and Eoung

I got to the rooftop just as the severe wind storm hit! This building with its shattered windows and dangling ceiling panels was the worst place to be when the news warns you about gale force winds!

Seriously the worst place to be in a windstorm. Even exorcists would've been freaked out at the howling winds and the ceiling boards smacking into each other with brutality.

Christchurch City skyline by day. Check out the Avon River and see if you can spot the Calendar Girls building (my favourite non-Urbex place in Christchurch)
